Avon Gorge Cruise with a Cream Tea – Friday 17th April 2020 £36.50 Per Person
Avon Gorge Trip
Join us for this exciting cruise down the magnificent Avon Gorge. With an entertaining and informative commentary throughout, there’s no better way to see this historic entrance into the city.
We take you down the harbour, starting at Brunel’s SS Great Britain, through the historic gates and into the huge lock.
As we emerge into the Avon Gorge there is plenty to see: The Rocks Railway and the old steamship dock, we sail underneath the amazing Clifton Suspension Bridge, Horseshoe Bend (a favorite spot for herons in the winter) and the Old Powder House (where trade ships deposited there gun powder before entering the city).
You will pass the ancient port of Sea Mills and the village of Pill, where our first ferryboat ‘Margaret’ worked. All this whilst enjoying Bristol’s most famous home baked cream teas.
