Poppies Weeping Window – at the delightful Hereford Cathedral.

11th April 2018

We are looking forward to this day so much… Hereford Cathedral is one of only four places in the UK where you can see the Poppies Weeping Window – a cascade of thousands of individual ceramic poppies that sweep their way down the Cathedral onto the gardens below.

Hereford City is embracing this with enthusiasm having Home Front exhibitions within the Cathedral the Museum and the Black and White House Museum as well as guides on hand to talk about the rich history from the war years in Hereford.

Just a stone’s throw from the Cathedral is Church Street, this is a delightful pedestrianised street with quaint tea rooms, antique shops and boutiques but just to name a few leading to the city which is also pedestrianised and has an array of restaurants and shops as well as the Famous Black and White House Museum.

We are planning to arrive at about midday, in time for lunch, this can be purchased at the cathedral restaurant or one of the many tea shops in and around the Cathedral.

Those wishing to have a guided tour of the Cathedral please ask me for more details.
